The new Mercedes-Benz Vito has arrived to Ireland.

The 2011 model features Euro 5 CDI engine, new 6 speed manual gearbox, retuned steering and suspension and new interior.

The facelift includes restyled front and rear lights, restyled front bumpers.

The quality feel of the passenger compartment has increased, noise levels significantly reduced, controls are simpler and more intuitive, materials are higher quality.

Front and rear axles for have been redeveloped.

Steering has been upgraded as well, but most notably, 2011 Mercedes-Benz Vito is equipped with new, more efficient and cleaner Diesel engines adapted from the Sprinter range.

The new CDI four-cylinder diesel engine meets Euro 5 standard, and develops between 70 kW (95 hp) and 190 kW (258 hp).

BlueEFFICIENCY technology is available as an option to offer the ultimate economy and environmentally friendly driving experience.

The range also features a new 6 speed manual gearbox with more economic ratios, which will lead to a 15% reduction in fuel consumption.

And finally, you may shortly be able to plug in your Mercedes-Benz Vito to ESB grid, as plans of hybrid Vito production have been announced.

In the test 100 vehicles Mercedes-Benz is using a 32 kWh lithium battery which offers estimated range of 130 km.

The emissions-free mobility is targeting urban users, limiting top speed to 80 km/h.
